Garbage is everywhere in our lives. If not dealt with in a timely manner, it not only affects the appearance of the city, but also breeds a large number of bacteria, which damages people's health. So in order to maintain the social environment and make it clean and hygienic, the current methods are either burning or burying garbage, which also damages the ecological environment, soil, and greatly wastes resources. Alternatively, garbage can be classified and recycled to increase resource utilization, which can also alleviate the increasingly deteriorating environmental problems. It goes without saying that trash cans have become a necessity in people's lives, involving various aspects such as dumping, sorting, and processing of garbage, playing an important role as a link in household waste. However, traditional trash cans do not have lids themselves, and even if there are lids, they need to be manually opened or stepped on, which is extremely inconvenient for users. More importantly, there is a risk of hygiene infection. How to solve the hygiene hazards of traditional garbage bins to users, effectively prevent the spread of various infectious diseases through garbage, and provide high-quality living services for people?

With the continuous improvement of people's environmental awareness, as well as the successful experience of some developed countries in garbage classification and treatment, and the attention of the country in this regard, a green, environmentally friendly, economically efficient intelligent classification garbage bin is designed from the perspective of residents' daily life. As a necessary public facility in the community, the design of garbage bins should first be adapted to the living environment of the community. In October 2003, the country issued the "Classification Mark for Urban Household Waste". According to the unified national symbol, household waste has been reclassified into three categories: recyclables, kitchen waste, hazardous waste, and other waste. Due to the diversity of household waste, the design of garbage bins should also be classified. For the treatment of liquid waste, the design of the garbage bin should be plastic sealed, and the disposal area should be designed to be larger. This not only solves the problem of corrosive iron garbage bins, but also ensures that odors do not spread, making it convenient for residents to use. For the disposal of large pieces of garbage that cannot be recycled, the garbage bin design should be a large underground garbage bin, which makes it easier to place the garbage and also more aesthetically pleasing. At present, people's behavior habits are still stuck in the past, and few families consciously carry out garbage classification operations in advance for the generated household waste, so garbage classification has not achieved significant results. In addition, scavengers randomly search for recyclable waste in the trash can, causing garbage to scatter on the ground, breeding mosquitoes and flies, damaging the environment, and affecting social aesthetics. Finally, most sanitation workers are relatively old, have a low level of education, and have not received formal training. In most cases, they can only perform simple garbage cleaning and transportation, making it difficult to control complex tasks.

Garbage bins are a reflection of social culture. The form of garbage storage can be divided into independent garbage bins and classified garbage bins; Processing materials can be divided into plastic trash cans, stainless steel trash cans, ceramic trash cans, wooden trash cans, cement trash cans, pulp trash cans, etc; There are various ways to open the garbage bin, such as open type, uncovered type, stepped open type, and induction type (infrared), and the form of garbage bin cannot be widely used for automatic garbage classification. Especially the practical efficiency of traditional trash cans is low, and they can no longer meet our daily needs. Therefore, the technological transformation of garbage bins has become an inevitable trend in this field. At present, the most advanced one is the induction trash can, which is controlled by a circuit chip, composed of an infrared detection device and a mechanical electronic drive system. As long as an object approaches the induction area, the lid will automatically open. After the object or hand leaves the induction area for a few seconds, the lid will automatically close. It does not require an external power supply and relies on battery power, with low power consumption. However, the production cost of induction trash cans is relatively high [3-6]. However, due to its high environmental conditions and unsuitability for public places, it cannot be widely used. Based on the current problems and the development trend of garbage classification, this article proposes the idea of automatic classification of garbage bins. That is, at the source of disposal, intelligent garbage bins are used to classify and select valuable garbage through pattern recognition technology, and corresponding preprocessing is carried out. This can directly classify garbage from the source, reduce repetitive operations to improve work efficiency, and also increase the reuse rate of garbage. This can effectively reduce environmental pollution, lower labor costs, save energy and environmental protection, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene. At the same time, it also reflects the intelligence and superior use of modern equipment, achieves sustainable development, and accelerates the development process of smart cities.
